APSA IN-FEED PRODUCTS: TIAMULIN
TIAMUMIX 20 mg/g - Medicated premix
Composition: Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate 20 mg/g (equivalent to 16 mg of base tiamulin).
Target species and indications: Swine: For the treatment and prevention of swine dysentery caused by Brachyspira hyodysenteriae; for the treatment of colitis caused by Brachyspira pilosocoli; for the treatment of ileitis caused by Lawsonia intracellularis; for the treatment of enzootic pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. Rabbits: For the treatment and prevention of epizootic rabbit enterocolitis (ERE).
Posology: Swine: Treatment of Swine Dysentery caused by B. hyodysenteriae, treatment of Porcine Colonic Spirochetosis (colitis) caused by B. pilosicoli, treatment of Enzootic Pneumonia caused by M. Hyopneumoniae: 250 - 500 mg of medicine/kg b.w./day, for 7 - 10 consecutive days. Prevention of Swine Dysentery caused by B. hyodysenteriae: 100 mg of medicine/kg b.w./day, for 2 - 4 weeks. Treatment of Porcine Proliferative Enteropathy (ileitis) caused by L. intracellularis: 375 mg of medicine/kg b.w./day, for 10 - 14 consecutive days. Rabbit: 150 mg of medicine/kg b.w./day, administered until 2 - 3 days after the clinical problems have been resolved. Prevention should be administered for 3 - 4 weeks from the first week after weaning.
Withdrawal period: Swine: Prevention (2 mg/kg b.w.): 1 day. Treatment (5 -10 mg/kg b.w.): 6 days. Rabbits (meat): 0 days.
