APSASOL TYLOSIN - Powder
Composition: Tylosin tartrate 926,000 IU/g.
Target species and indications: Swine: Treatment and metaphylaxis of enzootic pneumonia caused by strains of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae susceptible to tylosin. Treatment and metaphylaxis of porcine intestinal adenopathy (ileitis) caused by strains of Lawsonia intracellularis, susceptible to tylosin.
Poultry:
- Chickens: Treatment and metaphylaxis of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) caused by strains of Mycoplasma gallisepticum and M. synoviae susceptible to tylosin.
Treatment of necrotic enteritis caused by strains of Clostridium perfringens susceptible to tylosin.
- Turkeys: Treatment and metaphylaxis of chronic respiratory disease (CRD) caused by strains of Mycoplasma maleagridis susceptible to tylosin.
Pre-ruminant calves: Treatment and metaphylaxis of pneumonia caused by strains of Mycoplasma bovis and Pasteurella multocida susceptible to tylosin.
Posology: Swine: Treatment and metaphylaxis of enzootic pneumonia: 27 mg of medicine/kg of b.w./day, for 3 - 10 days. Treatment and metaphylaxis of porcine intestinal adenopathy (ileitis): 13.5 – 27 mg of medicine/kg of b.w./day, for 3 - 10 days.
Poultry:
Chickens and turkeys: Treatment and metaphylaxis of chronic respiratory disease: 120 mg of medicine/kg of b.w./day, for 5 days. Treatment of necrotic enteritis: 21.6 – 43.2 mg of medicine/kg of b.w./day, for 5 days.
Pre-ruminant calves: Treatment and metaphylaxis of pneumonia: 21.6 mg of medicine/kg of b.w., twice a day, which corresponds to a daily dose of 43.2 mg of medicine/kg of b.w./day, for 7-14 days.
Withdrawal period: Cattle (pre-ruminant calves): Meat: 21 days.
Swine: Meat: 1 day.
Chickens: Meat: Zero days Eggs: 0 days.
Turkeys: Meat: 5 days.
